The result of many hours of work.
Designed and folded by me from one uncut square of paper.

Yes. One uncut square of paper. Don't ask me to prove it...please.

Detailed down to the scales, it's brilliant. How big is this dragon?

--> If this does not make any sense, it's ok because I don't understand it either.
:iconblue-paper:
The dragon is about 12 inches from head to tail.

Quite nice. Have you ever seen the Wyverns by Jake Crowley? Its a pity hes dropped off the face of the earth, I think there are some photos of his multi-piece scaled ones on Joseph Wu's site. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Yeah ,I've seen the pictures of his stuff. They are pretty good, but as you said, they are from multiple peices. Mine is from just one square of paper.

I wish they would make a game called Professor Layton and the Curious Case of Benjamin Button so I could finally find out why they decided to make that movie so long and boring.

Indeed, I can tell it is one piece. You applied Kamiya-esque scales, talons, and head nicely to the model. The only part I dislike is the back of the neck. You've made wonderful use of it being open-backed with the tail and wings, the neck just seems out of place.

When you say "the back part of the neck" what do you mean? Do you mean the outside reverse fold at the top, where the top of the neck meets the wings, or the fact that it has an open back? Either way, this isn't the final version, I'll probably fold another one for OUSA next year, with some paper that isn't foil and a lot of MC :)

The neck flap itself. It appears to be a 3-D rabbit ear, so the spine side of the neck is actually a valley and appears hollow. It may just be the angle though. It breaks the wondeful "heft" aspect that the belly, tail, and underside of the neck captures.

It "seems" easily fixed, I'd have to fold the model to see, but you could probably use the opening flaps in the back of the neck to make it fully 3-D.

I'll probably see you there if my wallet holds out. I'm usually sitting with the designers, just look for the guy in a club/hawaiian shirt ;). (I've got photos of Kamiya and others from 2007 in my scraps section)

It might just be the angle of the picture, I think you're talking about near where the head meets the neck, I have more pictures of this model on my flickr page. The neck is partially scaled as well (though its not all that noticable where the neck body ends and the neck begins in this picture).

But anyway, thats probably something I'll fix when I make it again.
