Manticore by Blue-Paper Manticore by Blue-Paper
Designed and folded by me, Chad Killeen. Folded from one uncut square of paper. Designed February 2009.

What I spent the first half my mid-winter break making (well, thats not entirely true, I'm also working on another scaled wyvern and it is rather tiresom).

this is superb :) you put so much detail into such a tiny model, the nose, the toes, the curve in the wings along with the feathers, your models even seem to have expressions, i love your work!

This looks really good, I like the way the tail curls. When you make these complex designs do you have to use a really big piece of paper, or do they just end up being small?

For most of the complex model I make using nice paper (for final versions), they usually end up rather small, around 3 inches or so usually because I don't really have that much paper that is both nice and large, but for this one I managed to get some larger paper so it ended up being almost 6 inches long.
